Registering at Marie and Louis Pasteur University
In exchange programmes (Erasmus +, ISEP, IAU)
You should contact the exchange officers and the international office of your home institution.
Exchange students will not receive a diploma from Marie and Louis Pasteur University but a transcript of records. Before leaving your university, you should therefore make sure that the studies you have completed at Marie and Louis Pasteur University will be valid at your home university and prepare a study programme with your home institution’s officials.
When you arrive in Franche-Comté, you should contact the international office of the Marie and Louis Pasteur University (DREIF : dreif@umlp.fr), which will provide you with all the necessary assistance and give you a provisional certificate of registration.
Excluding exchange programmes
Before registering, you will have to pay the Contribution vie étudiante et de campus (CVEC), intended to finance certain services of Marie and Louis Pasteur University and the Crous (organisation that provides a range of services to students, including housing, food services, cultural and sportive activities). For the academic year 2025-2026, the amount of the CVEC is 105 euros. The settlement is made by payment or by exemption on the website messervices.etudiant.gouv.fr.
You must then use the platform admission.univ-fcomte.fr to register at Marie and Louis Pasteur University and pay your registration fees.

In exchange programmes (Erasmus +, ISEP, BCI, IAU)
Exchange students benefit from special registration conditions. In some cases, they are exempt from these conditions. Please check with the international office of your home institution before your departure.

Are you a student from a country of the European Union, the European Economic Area or Switzerland?
The registration fees are identical to those paid by French students.
As an indication, here are the amounts for the academic year 2026-2027 applicable to national students:
- 178 euros: for an annual registration in ‘DEUST’ (2-year scientific and technical education diploma), ‘DUT’ (2-year technical education diploma)), bachelor’s degree, ‘licence’’ (undergraduate degree), ‘licence professionnelle’ (professional undergraduate degree)
- 255 euros: for one year in a master cycle
- 398 euros: for one year of doctorate
- 630 euros: for one year of engineering training course
Payment is made when you register administratively at the university on the admission.univ-fcomte.fr platform (online, by credit card).
Are you a student from outside the European Union?
Students from outside the European Union pay a differentiated tuition fee for enrollment in a bachelor’s, master’s or engineering program at a higher education institution under the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Space. The doctorate is not concerned with differentiated rights.
The registration fees for the academic year 2026/2027 are:
- €2,902 for a year of Bachelor’s degree;
- €3,950 for a Master’s year;
- €398 for a PhD year.

Exemption from registration fees
In some cases, international students may be exempted from paying fees for admission to a higher education institution under the Ministry of Higher Education.
Exemptions may be granted by the institutions to international students, upon request, in light of their personal situation (student from a country in crisis, refugee student, student with a disability, student experiencing financial difficulties…).
International students must request their exemption. To do so, you need to turn to department office.
